Artist’s Note
I found a few old photographs of the years I lived near Glasgow and decided to paint from memory and adjusted photographs
Some scenes are fairly recent when I took my younger daughter to Scotland, including the Isle of Skye and the Isle of Islay in 2011
I took a lot of photographs and used them to assist in my memories of the places. This painting is particularly poignant because of the coldness and "derelict" nature of the tree.
