Market Scene San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel has a very large market called Mercado Ignacio Ramirez filled with stalls offering vegetables, fruit, meat and shoes and boots and clothes - just about anything!
This was a very difficult subject! The light was very strong coming in from above the umbrella and hitting the fruit, part of a figure, and a box in the bottom left hand corner
It was very necessary to get the facial colour right - with softness, The crease in the umbrella had to be very carefully understood
