This is one of my favourite streets in San Miguel. My wife and I would often have comida in Café Buen Dia, on the second floor. Judith used to be the waitress that always served us. She saw one of my watercolour sketches and asked me to paint the scene on the second floor which was an open patio with flowers and cacti. I gave it to her the following week and she was thrilled. We always sat at a table where we could look through the square window seen at the top right of the painting looking at the bougainvillea on the opposite side wall
