Artist’s Note
In Summer there are many boat races and regattas on Burrard Inlet and surrounding waters. This painting recalls some of those but with the addition of the fast ocean racing yachts seen in the English Channel and Australasia. The latest race was in Halifax Nova Scotia. The catamaran lifts on foils as speed increases reaching 60mph. this painting in in the "On The Edge" exhibition at the Federation of Canadian Artists until July 13, 2025
