Artist’s Note
San Antonio was without a dome until 1960s, This church was the subject of an en plein air day. The ten or so participants turned up at about 9:00am but found it to be too cold; so they went back to the studio. I decided to stay, but it was too cold to create a large painting so I kept to the 8" X 5" sketch book and created this in record time.
I visited the site later and completed a small watercolour which I used along with a photograph to generate a 12" X 9" watercolour painting
